| Anyone ever tried this with any success?? The post is old and locked so I can't reply to it. Third brake light out, time to get rid of that warning light
I got really tired of the brake light warning light coming on that I've gotten since I put my jspecs in years ago (actually, my 3rd brake light wasn't working as well lately, so I replaced the green box and it works now, still have the dummy light though).
I tried the above mod on my old green relay box thing since it was faulty anyway and had continuity on only pins 4 & 5, and 2,7,8 as he mentioned and it went to no 3rd brake light, and when I hit the brakes the dash lights came on. Hah! just wondering if anyone else had success with the above. Or if there's an easier way to get rid of the dummy light so LED's can be run without hacking up the stock harness in the back.
